The musical series “Thursdays @ the Amp” in Wantage returns with two concerts in August.
These performances will take place in the Sussex-Wantage Library Amphitheater, weather permitting. All of these shows are free. Be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket. Start of performances at 6.30 p.m.
● The Harrisons will launch the series on August 19. A powerful husband and wife duo, the Harrisons perform almost any genre of music on a wide variety of instruments – sometimes even more than one at a time!
● John sheehan will take the stage on August 26. Singer-songwriter, his songs “show simple humor, but say something deep about humanity, according to one reviewer. Sheehan is a longtime local favorite who will showcase his fingering game for this performance.
The Sussex-Wantage Library is located just south of the Borough of Sussex at 69 Route 639 near the airport. If the weather requires the program indoors, the seats will be in the community hall of the library. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Registration is not required.
