The indie-pop artist will perform at the Studio Theater at the River Run Center in October

Award-winning PEI artist. and indie-pop feel Rachel Beck takes the stage at the Studio Theater at the River Run Center on Saturday, October 15 at 8 p.m.

Known for her exposed and connective music, Beck’s sound features piano melodies that range from empowering to romantic. His recent sophomore recording, the six-track Stronger than you knowhas been described as intimate, a cry echoing from a forest and a call for strength.

“Beck’s rich, haunting voice always packs an emotional punch, something ethereal and uplifting, and a little mystical,” says CBC’s Bob Mersereau of Beck’s music.

Stronger than you know follows Beck’s self-titled debut recording, which garnered two East Coast Music Award (ECMA) nominations, two Music PEI Awards and a SOCAN No. 1 Song Award. In addition to reaching No. 1 on CBC’s Top 20 Songs chart in March 2018, Beck’s single “Reckless Heart” was named one of Canada’s Top 100 Songs of the Year and ranked No. #4 on Canadian Fan Favorites of 2018. by Radio-Canada Musique.

Highlights of Beck’s tour include performances for the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, two appearances at the legendary Stan Rogers Folk Festival and opening the 2019 ECMA Gala. His stop at the River Run Center offers the chance to hear the harmonious and ethereal soundscape for which it has become known.
