TG4’s country music show Glór Tíre has been postponed until further notice

TG4’s country music show Glór Tíre has been postponed until further notice.

The popular talent show competition has reached its semi-final and the penultimate show is scheduled to air tomorrow, but the series will not continue as planned this week.

The show made this decision due to a Covid-19 incident and as a result of advice received from the Health Service Executive.

Voting for the remaining acts has now been suspended, but all votes that have been cast to date will be valid once the competition resumes in the future.

However, no resumption date has been announced by the Galway-based TV station.

The new series started in January and there are currently six acts left.

A statement from TG4 said: “The search for the next big country music star has been temporarily postponed on TG4 due to a Covid-19 incident.
