St. Anna’s Episcopal Church kicks off its annual jazz concert series, “Down in Treme,” with a free concert beginning Thursday, February 10, from 7-8:30 p.m., featuring the Jackson Square Allstars, a rotating band of musicians accomplished locals of bands such as the Treme Brass Band, Olympia Brass Band and the Paulin Brothers’ Brass Band.
Tickets are free for the first 200 people to register on the Eventbrite page. Thereafter, tickets are $25 per concert.
“Down in Treme” is a year-round Thursday concert series featuring live music and drinks at the historic church, located at 1313 Esplanade Avenue. The concert series aims to support Treme as a cultural center for music and musicians. Money raised benefits music and cultural programs organized by the church’s community program, Anna’s Place NOLA.
