Quibi orders a series of musical documentaries “& Music” – deadline

Quibi has placed a direct order for a new documentary music series titled &Music which comes from OBB Pictures by Michael D. Ratner and Scooter Braun and GoodStory Entertainment by JD Roth.

The series will focus on the little-known artists – choreographers, videographers, set designers – behind the world’s biggest music stars. Each episode will offer a behind-the-scenes look at contributions that help turn musical performances into landmark events.

“We’re excited to shine the spotlight on the many creatives behind the curtain who play such a vital role in creating the music experience fans expect from their favorite superstars,” said Ratner, Founder and CEO of OBB Pictures. “We are delighted to partner with Scooter, JD and the GoodStory team and look forward to bringing these traditionally never-before-seen stories to the fore. “

Braun added, “When a musical artist is on the world stage, bringing their songs to life in front of an audience is one of the most powerful and critical moments that connects their music to their fans. I have witnessed the village it takes to execute an artist’s creative vision and this village is often the most trusted circle for any musician.

Details on which music stars will appear are being kept under wraps, but they will likely top the charts as Braun’s client list includes Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato and Tori Kelly, to name a few – a few.

Executive producers of the series include OBB’s Michael D. Ratner, Scott Ratner and Eric D. Cohen; Braun; Roth and Adam Greener of GoodStory; Harrison Macks and JP Stiles, Candice Dragonas is a showrunner. OBB’s co-executive producers are Elias Tanner, Miranda Sherman and Kfir Goldberg. Michael D. Ratner and the Macks and Stiles duo are also slated to direct episodes.

Michael D. Ratner and OBB Pictures are replaced by UTA, 3 Arts Entertainment and Hansen Jacobson.
