Khaleeji music will be in the spotlight every month at Expo 2020 Dubai.
Leading musicians from the Gulf and the wider Arab world will come together to present the best UAE and regional music in a series of performances that will begin on October 12.
Jalsat Nights at Expo 2020 will feature Saudi singer Aseel Abu Baker, Moroccan artist Asma Lmnawar, Bahraini singer Mohammed Al Bakri, Bahraini artist Mashael, Yemeni singer-songwriter Fouad Abdelwahad, singer Saudi Arabian Dalia Mubarak, Kuwaiti singer Mutref Al Mutref, Kuwaiti singer Alaa Al Hindi, Iraqi artist Majid Al Mohandis and Iraqi singer-songwriter Aseel Hameem.
Six singers, six dancers and 18 instrumentalists will also be there.

The six events, held monthly at Expo 2020 Dubai through March, will take the form of lively jam sessions led by Khaleeji. The two-hour shows will take place on the Jubilee Stage from 8:30 p.m.
Jalsat, which translates to “session” or “sitting,” will operate with enhanced health and safety measures in accordance with the latest government protocol.
“The heritage of the UAE is rich and deeply rooted in history,” said Nahla AlMheiri, UAE content director at Expo 2020 Dubai. “This is why our ancestors wanted to preserve it, telling its story through nursery rhymes, poems, as well as popular shows and folklore shows, so that it is transmitted from one generation to another over the years. time, and this tradition is common in most GCC countries.
