Lowell Summer Music Series schedule set

As we head into the 4th of July weekend, we can tell you that the lineup for the Lowell Summer Music Series has been finalized for this summer at Boarding House Park.

Peter Aucella, general manager of Lowell Summer Music Series, told The Sun that the 2021 lineup will include 12 shows, as Jake Shimabukuro canceled and ticket holders were refunded.

Aucella said a few other deals fell through before LSMS organizers ran out of time to book and had to move on to marketing and logistics.

Here is the 2021 schedule as it stands:

Classic Albums Live: “Hotel California,” July 30.

The Colin Hay Band, August 7.

JJ Gray & Mofro, August 12.

Tower of Power, August 14.

Kenny Wayne Shepherd, August 20.

New England Film Orchestra, August 21.

Richard Thompson, August 28.

John Hiatt, September 3.

Rhiannon Giddens, September 4.

Abraxas: Santana Tribute, September 10.

Los Lobos, September 16.

Ani DiFranco, September 17.

Tickets for individual shows are on sale at www.lowellsummermusic.org.

The 2021 season pass will cost $396. It includes tickets for all 12 shows, which equates to $33 per show. There is no ticket fee for the season pass. Offer expires July 31.

New for 2021: Tickets are transferable. You receive 12 show tickets by mail. If you can’t make it to a show, share the ticket with a friend for easy entry to the event. Electronic gift cards are also available in any amount. These can be sent as gifts via email. Use the portion you want on any ticket purchase. This is now available at lowellsummermusic.org/gift-card.
