This Wednesday evening (June 15), Lazy 5 Regional Park at 7100 Pyramid Way in Sparks hosted its first band of the season, with a free concert starting at 6:30 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, kids, coolers and soft toys. friends for an evening of live music, raffle prizes and fun.
Kicking off Summer 2022, White Water Retooled will play classic rock and R&B favorites spanning the 1950s to the present day. Comprised of musicians from Northern Nevada, the members of the band White Water Retooled have performed gigs in the Reno/Sparks area and across the country since the 1970s. The band have been together for over 40 years, playing collect funds, major concerts and private parties. White Water Retooled released their first EP on MCF Records in 1986, which was reissued in 2017 in CD format with a portion of its sales benefiting The Children’s Cabinet.
The 85-acre Lazy 5 Regional Park on which White Water Retooled will perform includes two playgrounds, soccer fields, a skate park, barbecue pits, horseshoe pits, restrooms, a volleyball court on sand and three picnic pavilions for large bookable groups. Its 2,400 square feet. The Cottonwood Room Community Center can also be rented and can accommodate 200 people. Recently, he also remodeled a 5,000 square foot. domed building called “The Hive” that houses a full basketball court and pickleball courts, open to the public on select days, according to staff.

During Wednesday night concerts at Lazy 5, food trucks will be at the park serving food starting at 6 p.m. Smoking/vaping is prohibited in the concert area and dogs must be at least 250 feet from the stage.
