Laredo musician Adrian Quesada featured in Stephen Colbert’s musical series

Laredo’s Adrian Quesada was featured in a musical series of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, with his collaboration with songwriter iLe as part of the show’s #LateShowMeMusic series.

The song features Quesada – the Grammy-winning guitarist, producer and co-founder of the Black Pumas – and singer iLe, who won her own Grammy Award for Best Latin, Urban or Alternative Rock Album in 2017 for his debut album iLevitable. ,’ and is the former singer of Calle 13.

The song featured in the series is on Quesada’s latest album “Bloeros Pscicodelicos” which is filled with collaborations with Latin artists grouped around a unique blend of psychedelia and boleros – dark, baroque love songs with rhythm of bossa nova.

The album was released earlier in June, but isn’t the only new music Quesada is releasing this year, with the musician already announcing his latest work, an all-instrumental album titled “Jaguar Sound,” which is slated for release on November 18.

Quesada is also due to perform this Saturday, October 8 at the Austin City Limits Music Festival, performing songs from the Boleros Psicodélicos album. He will then head to the Moody Theater on October 9 to tape an episode of the television show Austin City Limits.
