Jersey City Theater Center Launches Global Music Series With OASIS on November 4

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) – Jersey City Theater Center (JCTC) presents OASIS for the inaugural performance of its new Global Music Series on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City. OASIS (Enja Records / Yellowbird) – Olivier Abbasi Sound In Sound – features award-winning guitarist and 2021 Guggenheim member Rez Abbasi and fascinating French harpist Isabelle Olivier joined on stage by New York percussionist Michael Sarin. The experience can be described as a rich acoustic conversation between harp and guitar, providing unique opportunities for harmony, rhythm and texture. The opening of OASIS will be Sylvana Joyce and The Moment.

“OASIS was released just before the pandemic, so we didn’t have a full chance to introduce the music to the fans. It will be fascinating to revisit and relive this music because it is a very unique project, ”adds Abbasi.

Abbasi and Olivier’s White Eagle Hall performance is part of a three-stop East Coast tour starting at the Maison Française, French Embassy in Washington, DC on Wednesday, November 3, and ending with an intimate capacity performance Guests at Firehouse 12 Jazz Club in New Haven, Connecticut on Friday, November 5.
