James Bond musical documentary The Sound of 007 in the works at Apple

No time to die may have marked the 25 James bond series film and the final appearance of Daniel craig in the legendary role. However, the celebration of this classic franchise doesn’t end there as 2022 marks the 60th anniversary of the 007 film series. While there is obviously no new 26th film to mark the occasion, MGM and the producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara broccoli seem to have a lot planned for the year of celebration. One of the first major announcements of the anniversary, reported exclusively by Deadline, is a new Apple documentary focusing on the iconic music of the franchise titled The sound of 007. This will be Apple’s second documentary in the world of 007 when Being releases. James Bond: The Story of Daniel Craig earlier this year.


MGM and Eon Productions will produce the documentary and it will debut on Apple TV + in October 2022. This month is important for the franchise because October 5th will mark exactly the 60th anniversary of the first James Bond film. Dr No featuring the end Sean connery. MGM and EON to reunite with Ventureland Productions who helped make award-winning documentary All or nothing: the untold story of 007 to live. This new film will be directed by White Cross Rug and produced by John battsek.

In any movie, the music can be a big part of putting the story above, but for a James Bond movie, it’s arguably the most memorable part of the experience. Music has the power to connect us intimately with a story and there is no better example than in James Bond.
