The long-awaited feature film (it took eight years to make it!) Finally debuts on September 15, and you won’t want to miss a minute of personal interviews and a detailed look at the genre’s history that Ken and its filmmakers have compiled. The 16 hour film has eight episodes and will air as two tracks of four episodes each, all on your local PBS channel. Confuses? We’ll break it down for you:

  • Episodes 1-4 air Sunday, September 15 through Wednesday, September 18 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. EST.
  • Episodes 5-8 will air Sunday, September 22 through Wednesday, September 25 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. EST.

You can broadcast Country music on, your local station’s website, and through the PBS Video app, available on iOS, Android, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung Tizen, Apple TV, and Android TV. The first four episodes will be available to stream from September 15, and the second 4 will go live on these devices on September 22.
