Wayne Williams: As the founder of Chosen Few DJs and a lifelong music industry professional, Wayne has helped shape popular music and dance culture. His music career includes work as a DJ, producer and A&R executive with Trax Records, Jive Records and RCA Records. Wayne is the recipient of an NAACP Image Award for his work with Aretha Franklin and was nominated for a GRAMMY award in 2014 for his work with Jennifer Hudson. He continues to produce music and perform at events and clubs around the world.
Mike Dunn (5/6):As a teenager, Mike produced his first House Music album, “Dance, You Mutha” in 1987, and established a reputation as a top producer with a series of hits and remixes across House Music, R&B and hip hop. musical genres. His weekly residency at Reynolds’ Lounge is a staple of the Chicago House scene, and his first new album in over 25 years, “My House from All Angles,” received international acclaim when it was released in 2017. Mike is the newest member of Chosen Few DJs, having joined in 2012.
DEE JAY ALICIA (5/20): Chicago native Dee Jay Alicia (DJA) developed a love for music at a young age. She began her DJ career in 1996 as a stepper DJ which included appearances on the weekly TV show Stepping at Club 7 hosted by legendary DJ and radio host Herb Kent. In 2010, she made the crucial decision to switch to house music. His house music journey to date has included numerous bar, club and picnic events in Chicago, Detroit, LA, Austin and Houston. There were many phenomenal moments including larger events at Millennium Park, the Silver Room Block Party, Navy Pier, the Shed Aquarium, the Randolph Street Fair, Charivari Detroit, Chicago Summer Dance and two appearances at the Jewel of the Chicago house music crown, The Chosen. A few DJ picnics.
Andre Hatchett (5/27): After initially DJing for his parents’ bowling league and other musical experiences as a teenager, Andre followed in his older brother Tony’s footsteps by joining the Chosen Few DJs in 1982. Known as “legendary Andre Hatchett”, he remains one of the most beloved and popular DJs in Chicago and can be heard at various clubs and parties around the city.
