Sunghoon, a member of Kpop group ENHYPEN, underwent immediate surgery for rhinitis on January 29 after experiencing discomfort during his last outing singing and other daily activities. Sharing the singer’s health update, his agency BELIFT LAB reached out to online fan community Weverse and announced that Sunghoon will be taking a break from his ongoing music show “Music Bank” as a ‘host.

While the show is set to continue, ENHYPEN leader Jungwon will take Sunghoon’s place for this week’s show on February 4. Besides him, IVE’s Wonyoung won’t be performing in the upcoming episode either.

Soompi quoted ENHYPEN’s agency, “Hello, this is BELIFT LAB. We would like to inform fans that ENHYPEN member Sunghoon will not be able to MC during the broadcast of ‘Music Bank’ this week. Sunghoon felt discomfort while singing and [carrying out his] daily life due to rhinitis symptoms, and on January 29 (Saturday), he underwent surgery to treat him during the Lunar New Year holiday. According to medical experts, Sunghoon needs time to rest and recover, so he is currently on a hiatus.

He added, “Currently, Sunghoon is recovering well, but he won’t be able to appear as an MC for “Music Bank” on February 4 (Friday) in order to get enough rest. ENHYPEN member Jungwon will be participating as a Special MC on his behalf. We will put the health and safety of our artists first, and do our best to help Sunghoon be with the fans in good health. Thank you.”

Meanwhile, fans are taking turns on social media to express their wishes and prayers for Sunghoon’s recovery.
