Dreamcatcher Scores First-Ever Music Show Victory With ‘House’ On ‘Show Champion’

K-pop girl group Dreamcatcher scored their first-ever music show win with “House” Show champion.

The seven-member group had managed to score their first music show victory during the April 20 broadcast of Show Champion, marking the first time the group has managed to land a win on a South Korean music show since their debut in 2017.

Dreamcatcher beat out Big Bang’s “Still Life,” DKZ’s “Cupid,” IVE’s “Love Dive,” and SHINee’s Onew “Dice” for first place.

After receiving their trophy, the members of Dreamcatcher gave their speech with tears in their eyes, during which they thanked their label staff, colleagues, family members and fans.

“We are very grateful to our members and our parents. We’re here thanks to InSomnia (the official Dreamcatcher fanbase), which we love. We will not forget and work hard for the rest of our lives,” Chief JiU said.

After the show ended, the girl group then held a V Live broadcast session to tell fans about their victory. “Every time we made a comeback, we discussed our goals and we always wanted to win first place. [at a music show]said Sua at one point.

“But this time it was hard to say we wanted the top spot because there would be a lot of disappointment every time. But now what we want has happened and I’m so grateful.

“House” is the title track from Dreamcatcher’s second studio album, “Apocalypse: Save Us,” released last week. Featuring 14 new tracks, the new record is the K-pop group’s first release of 2022, and their first since August 2021’s “Summer Holiday” mini album.

Dreamcatcher’s last full release was 2020’s “Dystopia: The Tree of Language”, which member Handong was absent from due to her participation in the Chinese survival program Youth with you. This makes “Apocalypse: Save Me” their first full-length project as a full band.
