Coastal Roots Farma non-profit Jewish community farm and education center in Encinitas, California – announces its 2022 agricultural film and music series lineup designed to educate and entertain the community on our planet.
La Ferme invites families, friends and the entire community to join them this summer for an entertaining 5-episode series. The series will feature inspiring documentary films, local musicians, and meaningful conversations about fair food systems, environmental justice, and protecting the planet.
Participants will learn from dedicated activists, scientists, farmers and politicians how regenerative agriculture has the potential to save our soils, rebuild our communities, fight climate change and feed the world.
2022 Farm Film and Music Series Lineup
On June 23, the Farm is thrilled to announce its first film screening of the series – “Gather”, which tells the story of Indian resilience and the rebirth of indigenous food systems. The documentary looks at Native American movements that aim to rediscover identity and reclaim sovereignty through ancestral food. Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. with live music, socializing and a chance to speak with local organizations and individuals in the community.
The screening of the film will begin at 8:30 p.m.
Everyone is welcome. Guests are encouraged to bring their own picnic blankets, lawn chairs, food and drink to enjoy an evening on the farm.
