CARATs Celebrate As SEVENTEEN Breaks 4-Win Music Show Curse With SECTOR 17

The last return of SEVENTEEN, repackaged album SECTOR 17, has become a cause for great celebration for his fandom, CARATs. On August 4, the 13-member group earned their fifth music show win for _WORLD on MCountdown. This music show win was more important to fans than any other win, as it broke the band’s “four-win curse.”

Since the release of an ode as of August 2019, the 13-member group has only picked up a maximum of four wins for each comeback. The last time the HIT the singers won 5 or more musical performance trophies in January 2019 during their You made my dawn time. They had won a total of 10 wins on several music shows.

Fifth victory for SECTOR 17 with _WORLD now holds a special place in the hearts of CARAT and in the history of SEVENTEEN.


SEVENTEEN breaks 4-win music show curse, fans take over Twitter to celebrate

Top Self-Producing Idols SEVENTEEN recently picked up their fifth music show win with _WORLD from the repackaged album, SECTOR 17, on MCountdown. The idols did not attend this week’s MCountdown. They previously appeared on July 21 for their first comeback performance on the show.

SEVENTEEN _WORLD competed against the GIRLS of aespa. The first won with 6746 points while the second got 5820 points. The latest victory meant a lot not only for the CARAT fandom, but also for the 13 members who have worked hard all these years.

As fans celebrated the Four-Win Curse break on Twitter, the members of SEVENTEEN took to Weverse to express their gratitude. Mingyu, S.Coups, HOSHI, Dino, and DK posted messages on the platform.

DK called CARAT his “world”, Dino used a crying emoji, Mingyu told fans he loved them, S.Coups showed his trust in fans by saying it was expected, and HOSHI thanked fans. fans to have won the first prize for them.

Under the hashtag #_WORLD5thWin, CARATs rejoiced as the group finally picked up more than four wins for their comeback. They also urged fellow CARATs not to let their guard down and help the group achieve more wins. HOSHI using six trophy emojis in his Weverse post was a big motivator for them.

The CARAT fandom, often called the nicest in K-pop and filled with people who don’t know how to stream, has given idols gifts in their own way. Thanks to the CARATs, the Rock with you singers enjoy the title of multi-millionaire sellers. They have at least five albums that have sold over a million copies each.

In other news, The curse of the four-win music show wasn’t the only curse SEVENTEEN was able to break. All 13 members of the group renewed their contracts with PLEDIS Entertainment earlier this year, surviving the infamous 7-year curse of the K-pop industry.

The band’s first release after contract renewal was their fourth studio album, face the sun, who ushered in a new era. SECTOR 17 was a repackaged version of Facing the sunbut with the addition of four new tracks.

The 13-member group was also nominated for Best K-pop, PUSH Performance of the Year, and other categories at the 2022 VMAs. Voting for the VMAs is currently open.
