The Princeton Optimist Club has announced that Caleb Coots will be the main performer at the Black Patch Country Music Show this year.
Coots is a promising young musician who is making his way in the music industry. He’s a young musician but he’s not new to country music, he’s the grandson of local music legend Eddie Pennington. He lived his life watching and surrounded by the music of his grandfather Eddie and his uncle Alonzo. Coots, 17, and his mother Rosebud reside in Cadiz.
Coots explained that music was part of his whole life.
click to download audioCoots began performing alongside Eddie around age 4 and continues to perform regularly at the Merle Travis Center in Powderly Kentucky. He recently performed at the Sheraton Hotel in Nashville at the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society convention.
Coots said his Black Patch show will feature original and older country music and be a night of good country music.

click to download audioEven though it’s his first time performing solo at a festival, he said some of his musician friends might pass for a song or two. Who knows, with his grandfather Eddie living in Princeton, he might pass too. The Black Patch Country Show will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Main Street across from Ziobros.
