BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – The Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra held their second performance for their free summer chamber music series on Sunday night.
The string quartet was the focus of the last performance at the Pavilion at Lake Walk. They played music from countries all over the world.
“It is an opportunity for everyone, no matter what, to be able to enjoy this fantastic symphony, to have a good time and to get together with family,” said Mary Koeninger, Executive Director of BVSO.
The 40th season of the BVSO is scheduled to begin on October 17th. Season tickets are already on sale, but single concert tickets go on sale for the first time on Monday.
“Our classical concerts are going to be amazing,” Koeninger said. “Sasha Cooke, one of the people who competed in the international Chopin competition, and of course we have our Pops series. It’ll be Queen, an amazing tribute band, and the same in April – ABBA: The Concert.
The third and final performance in the Summer Chambers series is slated for September 19 at 7 p.m. ET. It will feature the BVSO Percussion Quartet at the Pavilion at Lake Walk, and like the first two performances of the series, it will be free to the public. .
