BTS won an award for their documentary film!
The annual MTV Movie & TV Awards, titled “MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted” this year, took place on May 17 (local time). At the event, BTS ‘documentary “Break the Silence: The Movie” was announced as the winner of the award for Best Music Documentary, a socially voted category.
“Break the Silence: The Movie” is a documentary film that takes you behind the scenes of BTS’s “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” stadium tour.
Other nominees in the category were “Ariana Grande: Excuse Me, I Love You”, “Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell”, “Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry”, “Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil” , “Shawn Mendes: In Wonder,” “Taylor Swift: Miss Americana,” “The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart,” “The New York Times Presents: Framing Britney Spears” and “Tina.”
In an acceptance video, RM said on behalf of BTS, “Thank you MTV for the award for best musical documentary. The BTS “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” World Tour was an unforgettable experience for us and for the ARMY. We are really happy that these records were enjoyed by so many people. The group exclaimed together: “Thank you MTV and ARMY!”
