The music of James Bond is the subject of a new feature documentary – The Sound Of 007 – heading towards 2022: more here.
Documentaries in and around the music world are booming right now – just look at Peter Jackson’s acclaimed dive into the world of The Beatles for an example of that – and as such Apple is turning to James Bond for inspiration.
A new feature-length documentary titled The sound of 007, which will explore the music of James Bond films over their decades of success. The film has participation from EON Productions and MGM, and the plan is to get it ready in time for the 60and James Bond birthday. A release date has been mooted for October 2022 so far.
Mat Whitecross is directing, with John Battsek producing. Battsek previously produced the 2012 feature documentary All or nothingwho dug the history of James Bond films for their 50and birthday.
