2022 Levitt Amp Ocala Music Series Announces Headliners | Local News

The Marion Cultural Alliance (MCA), in partnership with the City of Ocala, has unveiled the lineup for the 2022 Levitt AMP Ocala Music Series headliner. The series features a show most Fridays beginning April 22. and until July 1. Through free outdoor concerts, the Levitt AMP Ocala Music Series will bring 10 free, family-friendly concerts to the public this spring and summer.

The Levitt AMP Ocala Music Series will take place at Webb Field at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Recreation Complex, 1510 NW Fourth St. Concerts will be from 7-9 p.m. Admission is free and the public is encouraged to bring blankets and garden chairs to the concerts.

The Levitt AMP Ocala 2022 Music Series will feature a diverse lineup of high-caliber talent spanning musical genres. Additionally, the series will celebrate Black Music Month in June with African American and Black musicians and a partnership with Ocala’s Juneteenth Celebration.

Each concert will also spotlight a local non-profit that will be hosting a special activity or performance during the event’s intermission. The event will feature food trucks and an Ocala Recreation Mobile trailer with outdoor games and fun activities.

Friday, May 20 – The Drifters with Rick Sheppard (R&B/Soul)

Friday, June 3 – Reggae Force (Reggae)

Friday, June 10 – Bette Smith (Soul/Rock)

Friday, June 17 – Natu Camara (Afro-Rock Guinean)

Friday, June 24 – Melvin Williams (Inspirational)

Friday, July 1 – Grand Finale with Miles Nielsen and The Rusted Hearts and a Patriotic Performance with the Ocala Symphony Orchestra
